Hey guys! I was able to try out new products this month and some of them became my new favorites so I wanted to share them with y’all! I’ll be posting the links to the products as well as the link to my July Favorites video.
This summer I had to make a very tough decision… To grow out my eyebrows or not to grow out my eyebrows. I knew that the summer would be the perfect time to grow them out, but I also knew it wasn’t going to be pretty. The last time I got them done was May 3rd and now it’s currently middle of July and I am ITCHING to go back to Orlando to visit my brow lady and get them threaded! But for now, I have learned how to clean up my brows with concealer so that the growing hairs are barely visible! Watch this makeup tutorial to see how I cover them up!
Whenever I go back to school I always have to get some back up makeup products to stick in my back pack for the school day! I didn’t want to spend too much money on my makeup survival kit, but I still wanted the products to be high quality. I have heard about Essence and even used their eyeshadows for prom makeup looks, but never really got to try their most popular products!
I wanted to share these products with you all because the fact that they are affordable and high quality blows my mind!
This is the 2 in 1 eyeliner pen. It has a thin and thick felt tip liner which is convenient because you could use it for a more natural look or a glam look! This reminds me of the Kat Von D Tattoo Liner.
This is the Make Me Brow. This is an exact dupe for Gimme Brow by Benefit, but way cheaper! I love this product for when I don’t have time to fill them in, I just take the spooly and comb it through my brows and it makes them appear fuller.
This is one of their Liquid Lipsticks! It doesn’t dry to a full matte which I personally like because it is not as drying as a lot of other brands!
Essence is conveniently available for purchase at Target.com and select Target stores nationwide! Essence Cosmetics is known for their high-quality products which average to about $3.50 or less. These products are perfect for restocking your makeup bag just in time to go back to school. From everyday basics to wear to class to on-trend colors to rock at formal, essence has everything you need to make this school year even more beautiful!

If you already know a lot about makeup and just want to hear some quick recommendations then watch this video!
But if you don’t wear makeup very often or don’t even know where to start, I filmed a full face makeup tutorial to walk you through the steps to achieve a natural look! By natural, I don’t mean a simple routine with BB Cream and mascara, I do use quite a bit of products! If you’re interested in seeing a more in-depth video, click here!
Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara: This mascara has been one of my go-to’s lately, along side the Rocket Volume Mascara. But unfortunately there comes a time when the mascara just does not perform as well as it did when you first purchased it, and that time has come. I decided to repurchase this gem because I am a big fan of the curved mascara brush!
Milani Baked Bronzer in Soleil: This product has been all over my Pinterest feed lately, and I must say, it is a very picturesque! Besides that, I wanted to give this a try because of all of the great things I have heard about it. Everyday I attempt to bring out my inner sun goddess look, so hopefully this bronzer can make that happen!
That is all I got at CVS, but I thought I would share these products since I was not going to do a main video talking about them, but keep your eyes peeled for a tutorial featuring these goodies. Have you caught up on my videos? Head on over to Sonarly Life after you watch what I have been loving this past May!
Today I wanted to share my new favorite nude lip combination!
I have used two products:
First I apply the NYX Cosmetics Full Throttle Lipstick in Kiss the Dust. I can rave about this product forever, but I’ll keep it short for your sake. This lipstick is a matte product, but feels as smooth as chapstick when you apply it on your lips. When it’s on your lips, it does not feel dry at all, but looks matte.
Then I take my Bite Beauty High Pigment Pencil in Honey Berry and apply it mostly on the inner parts of my lips. This gives it an ombre look! I really like this product as well because it is very moisturizing while giving a lot of color.
Do you have a favorite nude lip product/ combination? Comment and let me know what they are!
Have you ever bought an eyeshadow palette with 12 colors that costed $50, but you really only use three of the colors? Trust me, I have. I have been such a fan of Z-palette’s and companies that make single pot eyeshadows. If you don’t know what a Z-palette is, it is a magnetic palette that you can put single magnetic shadows in!
There are many pricey companies such as Mac and Anastasia Beverly Hills, but there are also very affordable companies such as Makeup Geek, Colourpop, and Morphe.
Makeup Geek has eyeshadow pans that are stored in a Z-palette. This is my all time favorite eyeshadow brand! Their eyeshadows are the easiest to blend out of all of these three companies, and the convenience of putting them in a Z-palette is a definite plus! Their regular pan shadows are $6.00 each and their foiled shadows (which I highly recommend) are $10.00! This is the most expensive of all three, but it is definitely the best quality and cheaper than MAC!
Colourpop has blown up this past year and I just had to try their products out! They’re most known for their liquid lipsticks, but their eyeshadows are also amazing! The one con about these eyeshadows is that it doesn’t fit in a z-palette and it is not magnetic. I have a lot of colors and I never know which ones I want to use so I have to lug around all of the individual eyeshadows. But the quality of these shadows are extremely creamy which makes it very different from most. The price of these eyeshadows are $5.00 each; you could buy 10 shadows that you will actually use instead of buying a $50 dollar palette of two colors you would use! I recently did a swatch video on the Colourpop shadows that I have; click here to watch!
Lastly, Morphe is a company that sells $2.29 magnetic eyeshadow pans. You may be surprised at this price because I was at first, but understand that you definitely get what you pay for. I personally would recommend this company last just because the shadows are not as easy to blend and the pigmentation is not the best, but they do the job! I have seen so many swatches on Youtube and they look amazing, but every time I use this palette, it doesn’t give me the same color pay off as others.
Do yourself a favor and do not get sucked into buying the gorgeous palettes and save yourself some money by buying individual shadows!
I also just uploaded this video where I used a mixture of both Makeup Geek shadows and Colourpop shadows!
